Expedition Brief
Set off on an overland adventure out of Pokhara, driving along the winding Kali Gandaki river corridor to the hot spring town of Tatopani. Spend the evening soaking in the natural riverside thermal pools.
Drive through the deepest gorge in the world, watching the landscape shift into a rugged desert. Stop in Marpha, famous for its beautiful stone homes, ancient Buddhist monastery, and fresh local apple products.
Explore Kagbeni village, a historic medieval hub lined with Tibetan-style architecture. Continue driving up to the high-altitude valley of Muktinath to see the unique syncretic shrine revered by Hindus and Buddhists alike.
Leave the vehicle tracks for a scenic 4-hour trek through the wild, secluded Lupra Valley—one of the last remaining strongholds of the ancient pre-Buddhist Bon religion—before tracing the riverbed back to Jomsom.
Catch an early morning flight between the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna massifs, or take a private vehicle drive back down to Pokhara for a celebratory lakeside dinner.
Tour concludes after breakfast with transfers to your next destination.
For any multi-day trek in Nepal—especially those exceeding 3,000 meters—it is highly recommended to get a baseline health check, confirm your physical fitness levels, and secure proper altitude sickness guidance or necessary travel vaccinations before departure.
